3 Years of Growth at BrightWolves

September is always a bustling month. After the summer holidays, everyone returns to school or work, in an environment of part stress, part excitement.

For me, September three years ago was particularly significant—it marked my transition from student life to a full-time role at BrightWolves.

Now, three years later, I'm still here, celebrating my third anniversary with BrightWolves. It's been a remarkable journey, and I'm fortunate to be sharing this milestone with many of the colleagues who started alongside me. And even though September is not a typical “back-to-work” month for me the energy and activity that characterize this time of year are always present.

Looking back over these three years, I’ve been lucky to work on a variety of projects across BrightWolves’ major areas of expertise.

I started in what we now call our Sustainability Tribe, diving into a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) project for a machine manufacturer (as detailed in this article: How TCO Can Help Your Sustainable Transformation).

After that, I had the opportunity to help develop a European expansion plan for a financial institution, which was a deep dive into strategy and market dynamics. Most recently, I’ve found my niche in digital projects. Starting with data governance, I moved into business intelligence (BI) and am now deeply involved in a large-scale digital transformation. The challenges here are immense, but so are the opportunities to learn and grow. Each project has pushed me to expand my skill set, adapt to new technologies, and collaborate with experts both within and outside the company.

At BrightWolves, there’s always something new to learn, whether it’s directly from the projects or through our internal initiatives. This constant learning environment has been crucial to my growth, both professionally and personally.

Over the years, our team has itself undergone significant changes. Every year, we welcome a new cohort of "Wolves" into the pack, a rhythm that brings fresh energy and ideas into the firm. But the growth hasn't been limited to our team size. We’ve expanded our impact, entering the South African market, and moved into a brand-new office space to accommodate our growing team. It’s hard to believe that in my first year, we were just over 30 people, sometimes improvising desks to fit into our too-small office on Friday’s.

Witnessing and being part of this growth has been incredible. The pace of change at BrightWolves is fast, and time seems to fly by. The past three years have been an incredible journey, and I can’t wait to see what the next chapter holds.
